Boost Times Tables
Understanding – Fluency – Application
Boost Times Tables is a complete scheme designed to help children learn, recall and apply their times tables with confidence.
Across the course of each unit, children explore patterns, build recall, and apply their times table facts in real-life contexts. Each lesson is designed to last between 15 and 30 minutes, ensuring an engaging and focused learning experience.
Each times table is taught over three carefully structured weeks:
- Week 1: Understanding - Explore concrete models, arrays, repeated addition and number patterns
- Week 2: Fluency - Recall games, chanting, missing number challenges and real-life contexts
- Week 3: Application - Mixed questions, fact families, inverse operations and quizzes
What’s included in the sample pack:
- Teacher guide
- The entire x4 unit
- 1 end-of-unit quiz
- Fluency tracking sheet
What’s included in the full scheme:
- Teacher guide
- 9 structured, easy-to-follow lesson inputs for each times table
- Printable activities and games
- End-of-unit quizzes
- Fluency tracking sheet
Why it works:
- Builds deep understanding before memorising
- Links multiplication to real-life contexts
- Reinforces patterns and relationships across tables
- Develops fluent, confident recall of the table facts
This scheme can be used for whole-class teaching or as a targeted intervention.
